WHAT WE BELIEVE

The family at Nolen Hills (“We”) believe there is one God who exists in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Our mission is to love the LORD our God with all our hearts, love our neighbors as ourselves, and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to Nolensville and the surrounding area.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. The gospel is the center of Christianity. The saving power of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection is the center of the gospel.
The Bible is the inspired and perfect word of God. The entire Bible tells one story, the story of Jesus.
While we are governed by the New Testament model of grace rather than the Old Testament’s law, we believe the Old Testament gives much greater understanding of the New Testament and helps us gain greater context.
We are committed to showing love to our community by actively serving those in need.
We focus on making prayer a way of life.
Salvation is a free gift of God offered to all by His grace. It is received when we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior by being fully immersed in water during baptism.
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in the heart of every Christian.

HOW WE WORSHIP

We follow the Bible’s example of the early believers gathering often to support and encourage one another.  We also focus on praising / worshiping God and participating in Communion together.
We believe all worship is to be focused on God’s design given to us by specific biblical instruction and first century church examples.
We have chosen to follow a “Bible centered” model rather than being influenced by man-made traditions of the past or by current trends and culture.
We believe the following in regard to worship:  gifts, messages and praise are to all be orderly and free of confusion.
OUR SERVICES
We follow the Bible’s example of the early believers gathering often to support and encourage one another as well as focusing on praising and worshiping God and participating in Communion together.
Nolen Hills provides an organized and planned worship service for our members and visitors that wish to participate in a way that honors God.
As we continue to grow, we may provide mid-week services / classes that will be available to the public and visitors.
We will also continue to sponsor Life Groups for spiritual and biblical development and for fellowship.  Life Groups currently meet on Sunday nights and Wednesday nights. They could also meet at other times and days during the week should the group wish to do so.  Life Groups fall under the oversight of our church leadership.

TEACHING

We are committed to biblically focused education of all our members.
Education plans are primarily divided into three categories:
Children’s Education
Young Adult (Teen) Education
Adult Education
Vertical relationships are strongly encouraged at Nolen Hills. Our Adult Education combines all ages of adults and encourages mentoring as modeled in scripture.
We intend all studies to be meaningful and focused on scripture.
MINISTRY
We are committed to bringing the Word of God to Nolensville and the surrounding area.
We believe evangelism begins with faith in God, His Son and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
As we mature in our faith, the commitment to share the Word of God is natural for all members of the body.
We are committed to the maturing of faith in our church family through individual Bible study, church education programs and through our teaching and preaching.
We are committed as a church family to receive and support those brought to Nolen Hills.
Faith development underscores our relationships with each other and encourages us to put God first and His kingdom above our personal agendas.
We will seek to love our neighbors by serving the needs of our members and of the community. Jesus, even though He was the Son of God, was the ultimate servant leader. He tells us in John 13:15 that “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”

WHO WE ARE

Nolen Hills Church of Christ is located in Nolensville, TN and we are committed to serving our community and the surrounding area.  Our first service was September 11, 2016.
We are followers of Jesus but we welcome those who are not yet ready to make this commitment.
We gather to worship each Sunday morning and our Life Groups meet in homes throughout the week to study, praise God, and fellowship.
Our community is economically and racially diverse. There are young people and elderly. Some are married and some are single. Some have children and some do not. We welcome and want to love and serve this whole community.
We are a church made up of Life Groups, rather than a church with Life Groups.
